This is a tool designed to find an approximation to any given number, using simple functions and numbers. When a number is typed in, lookups are used to find a basic approximation, usually to 6s.f. although fewer for extremely large or small numbers. The drop down menu selects a data set to work from, with different numbers and operations included or excluded. The “Try Harder” button then tries to correct any error by mutating the results, ending up with more accurate, but weirder results.
